I put the 8" on my road glide and it seems not to fit right. Is this common or do I need to exchange this for a new one. It seems to be lifted up on either side of the center screw and the holes just didn't seem to line up right.
You need tp put the rubber gasket on the bottom of the 8" KW. I always start from the middle and work my way out. Slowly tuck the rubber in as you move outwards screw the middle screws in first.... Do not push the screwdriver in as you may push the barrel nuts inside the fairing. Everything should line up fine.
I agree with FUNKY, I pushed mine in and lost the barrel nut in a couple of spots, had to take off the outer fairing and then re-install it. It was a pain in the a$$. But it was good practice in removing and re-installing my fairing. Mine lined up perfectly. I would suggest calling Klockwerks about windshield gasket issue. I like mine better then the OEM. I am 6' 4". Good choice and good luck!
