hd's website is definitely wrong because the stock saddlebag support rails do not have the brackets that the fillers attach to. however, i have been thinking about getting the supports with the chrome "loop" at the front of the saddlebags for protection so thats what i did and now have everything on. of course i ordered the 170.00 fillers thru chicago hd to save 20% but after running down to the local dealer to buy the 189.00 new supports, my filler have now cost me 325.00. of course i saw something else i needed that was 35.00 so now have spent 360.00 for a 136.00 part. and i'm in car sales and that sucks....please do not tell my wife. i have a list of more stuff for christmas....lol
When I went down this road a few months back, I could not figure out how the fillers would work without serious modifications. I just bought the '09 SG rear facia and called it done. I think you need the bag guards to bolt them onto, but not sure. What is the return policy on painted items?
