what brand apes
was looking to purchase a ape hanger kit with all parts for the install, american classic motors wants 500.00 and hill country wants 465.00, one says thet use cycle smiths and the others don't fit as well, cheap lines will yellow and brakes will leak. SO HELP what brand bars did you use and what brand cables and how are they holding up. has anyone ever used these kits or you know a better less expensive place? thanks alot for any help

I've been shopping for some small apes for awhile. There are a lot of brands out there, but most of them seem to be going really w-i-d-e, most from 36.5 to 39 inches. I finally went with Khromewerks 12.5 1 1'4" apes. They are only 34.5" wide. I got the HD Diamondback modular brakes and Drag Specialties clutch (+6). Went through Chicago HD for it all.
