What part are you talking about at $350? I'm looking at :

32109-08A $459.95 I agree - that's nuts for nothing more than a "key" to unlock the ECM and essentially void your warranty. Of course just because it's insanely overpriced it doesn't give anyone the right to hack it to avoid paying . . .

Maybe you could just go shoplift one. It's the same thing, really.

There are less expensive options, but you get what you pay for. It's just one of those things you're going to have to pony up for. Better than paying for ECM downloads everytime you want to change your motor.

Shoplift ? If I pay $400 change for the tuner I feel I should be able to use it on both my bikes. There is a BIG differance between this and other tuners.

Agreed let's not get into another name calling exercise.

I think you have to simply recognize that this is how Harley designed the box and determined what it would do (unlock one ECM). If you want to use a different tuner then certainly you may - and there are those who would argue that other tuners are better. Of course it's not really practical to move a Power Commander (for instance) between bikes.

There is a big difference between this tuner and all others in that only H-D has the inside ability to unlock their own ECMs and apply mapping onto the ECM directly. Every other tuner requires a piggy back module.

You also have to acknowledge that if H-D made this device so it would unlock more than one ECM then they'd sell a lot fewer and more than likely they'd be used on bikes that didn't all belong to a single owner.
