I go slower, clear glasses, but I really don't do much riding at night.

At slow speeds and at stops be aware of cars behind you and cars coming from the sides at stops. You are much harder to see at night and a car may just not see you in time to stop from behind or from the sides.

I wear sun glasses or goggles with yellow lenses. They really brighten things up at night. My 45 year old eyes need all the help they can get at night. You can pick up a pair of the yellow lense sunglasses at Harley dealer for about 20 bucks, so it doesn't cost much to give them a try !

I find you don't see all of the deviations in the road, bumps, holes, etc. If there's another vehicle in front of you, pay attention to their tail lights and watch them to tell you what the road is like ahead. There's nothing like an unexpected bump in the road to make you check your grip on the bars.

Some really good advice given. I just take it a little slower. Here in Missouri we have a lot of deer. And as always watch the cagers, they are probably the most dangerous danger out on the roads, actually day or nite.

I agree with all of the above. And, you'll notice that every bug in the county will be aiming for your headlight.

And as they say in MSF, don't override your headlight (stopping distance exceeds sight distance) As stated from someone above, watch taillights of the vehicles ahead. I like to pick the third car ahead or so and if their brake lights come on, I start slowing down. Increase your safety zone cushion in front as well to something like 6 seconds.
