2009 Street Glide Vibrations

Thats what I am trying to avoid. Chicagos toys for tots run is this sat. and it would be nice to find out whats up before then. It seems to be getting worse what ever it is. Checked through everything again today. I do not see anything funny. At this point I guess I will just let the dealer guess at it.

Inner fairing bracket
Check the inner fairing bracket for cracks or breaks. I know 3 people with 2007 bikes that had cracked inner faring brackets including me. It happens to all years of baggers.
Easy enough to check. Three torx bolt on the fairing windshield and 4 torx bolts on the outter fairing.

The wife just bought a 09 Street Glide which had a lot of vibration in the floorboards and handlebars. We had it looked at once and they found the belt was too tight. The dealer adjusted it which helped but it still is not as smooth as my 09 Ultra. The weather is a little on the cool side so we will likely wait until spring and have it looked at, please post back if you find the fix so I can tell the dealer. I have got a couple of ideas from these posts.

HAVE A FRIEND WITH SAME PROBLEM ONLY ON A 2006 FLHX. AT 2500-3400 RPM, HIS PROBLEM WAS FLYWHEEL. BECAREFUL AND GOOD LUCK. KEEP POSTED ON WHAT YOU FIND. i WAS TOLD HARLEY RELAXED THERE SPECS ON MOTOR INTERNALLS, HOPE THIS IS NOT TRUE. FOR WHAT WE SPEND ON OUR BIKES WE DONT NEED ANY B.S

mine did the same thing at about 5000 miles. at 5800 my dealer put on a new revised front tire. (looks to me that they changed the arrow the other direction.) I now have 14600 miles and still no viberation and this tire still looks like new.... the old one was cupped badly.... hope this helps, good luck
