This is what I have (14"): The 2009 SSC SERG Edition - *the 14" (looks euro to me) they say it's for a 5'11" to 6'1" rider.

This is the one I want: Road Glide TR Super Step Contour Edition - *the 14" DOME they claim fit's a 5'6" rider.

Here's an idea!
Call and tell them you're willing to take all the confusion out of their shields. Have them send you one each of every length of the SSE's both Euro and Dome and install them all and take the measurement from the top of the Speedo pod to the top of the shield. Of course your payment for all the hard work is a free shield of the right height that works for you! Heck, that info would probably increase their sales by 25%!

If I was sure they'd take it back if I didn't like it, I'd go for the 16" dome.

There is a link that was started a month ago with some true measurements from the top of the speedo to the top of the windshield. Not every manufacturer measures their shields this way.

I'm 6'1 with a 34 inseam. The +2 CV was a perfect fit for me. The KW or Cee B look pretty cool, but I put more stock into function, performance, and protection than looking cool. Been there, done that, and I'm cool enough at my age. I usually ride with a half helmet and use vinyl lowers when it's raining or really cold in the morning.

I look over the shield by 2-3" and can see the road surface without look through the sheild about 25 ft in front of the bike. The helmet that you wear can have a big impact with the buffering.

It certainly is!
It was voted as the #1 motorcycle road in the country. Probably going to hit it after Tahoe on our way up to Eureka. What size CV is that?

Both will be about the same height, both will be light tint and both are about the same price. Is it function over looks? (CV vs SSC) Both are equally important to me. I plan on adding Hoggchops lowers and ride with a 1/2 helmet, goggles and ear plugs.

I'm about ready just to flip a coin, having read hunderds of posts here and a lot of folks like both shields. Just wondering what will look best on my Vivid black bike? Which of the 2 would you buy? I'm 6 ft tall and 32 inch inseam.
Lee, I bought that exact same windshield via e-bay for $98 shipped to my front door from cee baily's.I'm 6'3" 36" inseam and the wind just catches me on the top of the head. The windshield looks great on the bike also.Check it out .
