My research is done and I will be buying one of these 2 windshields today:
Clearview 2" over stock light tint or SSC Euro 17" light tint which is 2" over stock I think. I know the 2010 windshield is mounted an inch higher than my 07 FLTR.
Both will be about the same height, both will be light tint and both are about the same price. Is it function over looks? (CV vs SSC) Both are equally important to me. I plan on adding Hoggchops lowers and ride with a 1/2 helmet, goggles and ear plugs.
I'm about ready just to flip a coin, having read hunderds of posts here and a lot of folks like both shields. Just wondering what will look best on my Vivid black bike? Which of the 2 would you buy? I'm 6 ft tall and 32 inch inseam.
Thanks for the reply. I remember reading a similar comment about the dark tint which was my original plan but now going light tint instead.
Surprised the 14" windshield works for you, a lot of folks that are shorter, like 6 ft and less, mention they like the 16" shield but would have preferred a 17".
any interest in Clearview 1 over clear? I purchased off of the board here and rode with it once. It's as good as new.I don't much like it.

Thanks for the offer, George. I would have bought it if it was light tint. Sorry to hear you don't like it, most folks rave about the Clearview. Maybe you need a set of Hoggchopp lowers, too?

I'm one of the people who has the 16" shield that would like the 17" Cee Bailey. I went with the height guide on the web site for a 6ft person and got the 16" shield. Well since I wear a DOT helemt, that puts me at about 6' 1" and I catch just a little wind to the top of my helmet. I am still very pleased with my 16" shield.
I've got em, I just don't like the look of the windshield on the bike. It works great with no buffeting at all.
George
Yea, function over form, they work great but look average. I just ordered a Clearview with light tint and already having buyers remorse. I'm thinking I should have went with the Cee Bailey. We'll cee.
I called CeeBailey's to get the low down on the differance in height between the euro vs. the dome style.... Asthetically speaking, I think the dome style is gonna look better. Lookng at their measurement chart, it shows big differances between the euro style 14" I have and the dome style 14" I want...haven't received a response yet.
