I had a little tinge of jealously but it passed. Besides I have what will be somewhat of a rare bike. A carburated Street Glide. Not that it matters but it is preety cool to think of it that way.
Yep...............but then what if I purchased the 07 right before the 08 were released........... woulda, shoulda, coulda, If my aunt had ***** she'd be my uncle.........[8D]
the 07 SE Ultra are HEADS ABOVE THE 06 SE Ultra's...................
rmarion is kicking his own **** right know..........but then, I wouldn't have a one off custom paint job, why............. BECAUSE THE FRIGGIN 07 SE ULTRA HAVE A SWEET PAINT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!![:@]
Pop, pours a cold one, I feel better............[8D]
Like Granny always used to say: "Be happy with you got and don't pine for what you don't".
Granny has more wisdom than a scholar! I've waited all my life for my HD and I couldn't be happier with what I've got. The 07's look great, but the six speed doesn't dazzle me. What next, all wheel drive and air bags? I love Harley for it's timeless design and tradition. I hope they don't change them too much in the next few years.
No kicking going on here. This is how I sum it up....if I were to buy the 06 with the 96, I'd have to put some buckaroos in the engine to get it to perform up to how a 96 should perform. I am not that impressed with the MOCO's version of a 6 speed. I will stay with my 06 SG and ride it until it can't ride no more.
I'd say the only ones kicking will be the ones that have trouble out of the first ones and wished they got a left over 06. I like the aspect of the longer stroke. Leaves a lot of room to play, but for the stock numbers, I'm not impressed. Only about 9 more ftlbs. of torque over a stock 88. I'm anxious to see how much the EPA has effected this one.
I got my '06 Ultra for 18,695.00, the '07 MSRP for the two tone is 21,135.00 that means the street price is gonna be 28k. I talked to my buddy here at the local dealer and they have already sold three of the '07 Ultra's for 30k. Yeah 96" and six speed is nice, but not for an extra 8 or 10k.
I have a perpetual smile on my face when I ride my Ultra, and when my buddies show me their '07, I will still smile when I tell them how much I paid for mine compared to theirs.
