I am considering installing a set of Wild1 WO 577's on an 07 SG w/ throttle cables.
Any info on installation tips I could get would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. black07flhx@yahoo.com
Great info on this thread! I just bought an UCEG limited, and was wondering what length bars should I get? I'm not a fan of the bars going over the fairing, just want to be able to reach the controls from a relaxed/slouched position. I'm 5'9"...I had 16" APES on my '07 RK, but of course w/out a fairing.
Thanks all!
BTW, I put the APES on the RK myself, I used 550 cord (a.k.a. Para shoot cord) to connect to the wire harness and a vacuum to get the cord through....worked like a champ.

If you do searches you should find plenty of advice and pics. I'll assume you have decided on Yaffe Monkey Bars since actual bar dimensions can change for different styles and brands. As well as b/c they are what this thread is about. If it is mandatory to stay behind the fairing I think everyone agrees you have to buy the 10's. That doesn't mean it's the best bar for you though. Best bar for you could be a completely different question. Even height leaves open questions of inseam so torso can be deduced. Then seat can make a difference. In general though, a 5'9" I'd guess you would be happy with 10's. Personally I am 6 foot, 32 inseam, and waiting on 10's b/c I wanted to stay behind the fairing as well. If I didn't have the fairing concern I'm fairly certain I'd have gone with 12's. Might have even gone a little more.
