Finally got the time to install these, this took some patience to run the wiring internally but as usual I prevailed. I used nothing special to pull the wiring and left the original protective sheilding over the wiring because I wanted to make sure that the wiring was protected from any sharp points inside the handlebars. For starters I took fishing line with a couple of split shot sinkers on it and let gravity work the sinkers and line from the switch housing mounting area to the center of the bar where the wiring comes out. Once I got that fed through I took two pieces of twine and tied them to the fishing line and pulled the twine through. At this point I tied the twine to the OEM wiring harness about 8" up the harness and twisted it around the harness. I then wrapped all of the original protective loom from the switch housing all of the way down to the end of the original wiring with electrical tape. I started feeding the harness in to the handlebar and used some white lithium lube that I had in a aerosol can and sprayed the wiring and fed the wiring over and over until I got it pulled through to the outlet of the bar where the clamp goes. I then installed the extensions after the wiring was pulled through. I installed the 12" bars and had plenty of room to work with the wiring after it was pulled through. I would suggest making up your own diagram for which wire goes in to which cavity on the Deutsch connector as the wiring extensions that I purchased had a few colors that weren't the same as what the original wiring was, no big deal, you will just need to write down what changes you made. I have seen some reviews on JP Cycles website that also stated they ran in to this on the Novello extensions. I have an 06' EGS so I did not have to worry about TBW. This is really the most difficult part of this whole job as the remainder of the steps is pretty much just replacing parts. While I had it apart I did a few other things as well as the handlebars but all in all I took my time and it ended up taking me about 14 hours from start to finish. I saw where someone said they did it in 4 hours or so, I'd like to meet him and actually see the process that he used to do this as I see no way to be done that quickly unless you do this everyday for a living!!!! I attached a couple of pictures here and am very pleased with the look of this, now hopefully my left hand will quit falling asleep and my shoulders will be a little more relaxed with the new riding position!!!
