Correct Me if I'm Wrong

Tomorrow I'm going to be ordering the PClll usb, Vance&Hines headers and the K&N air filter setup, however I don't understand how sprying oil on a air filter helps. Seems to me that by doing so it covers up all the little air intake holes making the engine working harder for air. I'm I off base here, are there any alternates on the air intake?

Those filter that require oil is mainly because they breath better with larger openings. The oil catches the dust and small particles that other wise would get into the engine.

I'm sticking with the the SE washable paper filter, works great. Don't like an oiled filter or the residue it can leave in the intake.

So the SE filters are reusable?Just wash in soap & water?

Ive ran both k & n and screamin eagle---I live of a gravel road---went with the screamin eagle filter to do how often I clean the filter---the screamin eagle is a dry filter (reusable) cleans qiucker & dont have to buy oil to service it.
