No radio noise on any band or with the CD player. The ballast and igniter's just give it a blast at the start. When the HID's are running, they actually run cooler and use way less watts.
Check with FastHarley (Howard in Florida) here on the forums or his site motorcyclemetal.com
He's a forum sponser and he's forgotten more about HID's than most us will ever know.
No noise except at intial startup then it slowly fades away once they are warm. The only thing is make sure you do not run a powered antenna because the hid will cause interference. Other than that, the HID is one of the best investments I have ever made on any of my bikes. The only downside is that you get so used to having optimal light that it is hard to ride anything that does not have them. And one more thing, make sure you get the 6k ones and not any higher because when you go higher than that you wind up losing light.

Thanx for the heads up on the antenna.Makes sense.Which HID kit are you running?I like riding at night but eyesight isn't what it used to be I'm planning on the 6k unit.
No noise but it may decrease the signal strength from interferance. I put on the HD shorty antenna at the same time as my HID kit and my radio reception decreased significantly.
We carry the ones from bayspeed and have been using them for about 2 1/2 years. Trust me you are going to love it. Just make sure you get the ones with the good ballasts and the high/low version not the bixenon or single this way if the ballast does fail you still have a halogen bulb to get home with
