I have enough helmets in the garage to float a battleship
Everything from Full, Modular, 3/4, half.....
HJC, Nolan, HD etc...of them all this one fits my head best.
What I really like is the ear holes and comfort. If you run speakers for CB, Stereo etc... the extra space makes it so much more comfortable.
Good protection, changeable shields...no tools required.
The Nolan was the worst, after a few miles my ears hurt from the speakers pushing on my ears....
I like the Fulmer the best, but all heads are not the same, go to your local dealer and try them on, some of us have round heads and some oblong....
Your local metric dealer will have a better choice of different brands
We picked up (2) IS33 helmets a few weeks ago on Ebay, brand new from a tractor supply company. Got them for half of retail each at $68 each, couldn't beat the price. They ran true to size for wife and I, are comfortable, and have a lot of features. Very comfortable.
Threeten...the outer shield is easily removable (less than a second once you see how it's done). Either The Helmet Center or The Helmet Harbor has a video sales pitch of the helmet, and shows how easy it comes off. PM me if you have any questions.
Simpson Racing makes great safety products, and also makes a 3/4 helmet. Now there a lot helmet makers out, with cost going from $60.oo to over $400.oo what is the worth of your head? ? ?
I have one also.i had to go up one size, the padding in the checks was just to tight in a xl.i still love my ac-3,it just fits so good.only thing that sucks is you have to change the shield out when the sun goes down.
After many years of riding with a half helmet, I finally bought a 3/4 HJC IS-33. This helmet has a real good feel to it and over a 2 hour ride yesterday it was never an issue.
One thing I did notice is my Monster Ovals seem louder than ever before. I guess that the reduction in wind noise at my ears is letting me hear more of the pipes. Either way, I'm not complaining.
Same here. My exhaust seems louder when I wear my 3/4 helmet. I don't quite understand why.
