Thanks I never thought of that. But when I do a search all I get is a bunch of worthless *** replies on "do a seach it's been covered before".

I just stopped at the dealers today and talked to the "engine" guy in the service dept. He said the 255 is junk and showed a lot of dyno runs with this cam and none were very impressive. After all, just look at the ratings on the new SE 110 models. You should be getting a lot more bang for the buck. He was suggesting using the woods 7H or another SE cam (can't think of what it was now since I will probably do the woods cam). He also said it would be better to find a set of 88 heads as they have smaller ports than the 96 and thus generate better power for the simple upgrades such as a cam. I found that most interesting. They were saying that for the woods cam, adjustable push rods and about 10 hours of labor + whatever parts + dyno & some head work, it would be around 1500.00. Would be around 2200.00 if I didn't already have a tuner, pipes and AC. Guy seemed to know his stuff and says he is constantly swapping out cams to test with different options on the dyno.

TX... Drop a TMan 525 or HQ-525 in with your big bore 103. They are just as good on the bottom but don't die @ 4k.

They will allow your bike to rev MUCH quicker because they don't make such ridiculous cylinder pressure. As such (an added benefit), they don't make life so f'ing tuff on starters when they are hot.

Also, regarding tune... get a SuperTuner, TTS, or MasterTune and have it done right ~ by someone that knows what they are doing with regard to tuning. A PCx will work "ok", but nothing like whata "properly tuned" bike will.

Heck, you're just a short ride from Dallas. Come get it tuned here, at thedynodifference.com.

I did the exact same thing that you are thinking about doing. If you look up my previous posts you will see my Dyno. I am not one for speed just needed a bit more kick in the pants, I just needed more torque. Brother I did get it, ICLICK gives really good advice and I went with his suggestion. I did let the stealer install the cam, with the timken bearings. Just for your information the HP max is 64.86 and max torque is 85.16 this cam is a mid range cam and is strong between 2500 and 3500 rpm then it drops off.

I don't want to do a big bore 103. I don't want the extra heat or compression problems. I just want to ride.

Do you recomend anything for that?

Your dyno chart doesn't appear anymore. Looks like it needs to be rehosted at another online photo site.

Heat and compression problems are not a result of a big bore (103) kit.

As I alluded to in my initial response, if you use a cam that does not make so freak'n much cylinder pressure (due to the very early intake close), you will not have that starting issue... You just won't.

Yes, I would make a very simple recommendation.
1) Install basic HD big bore kit - the 103 (that won't make it hot or hard to start)
2) Use a set of TMan 525 bolt-in cams
3) Come to Dallas and get it tuned by Ed at TheDynoDifference

You will now believe it even the same motorcycle and you will NOT have the issues you mentioned being leary of in your previous message.

Texas Fat Boy, Just did the cams myself. Could not be happier! Major difference. Try them, you can always add the 103 kit.
