Default help needed from you guys with sound system know how

Ok, so I installed a small amp and 2 6x9 speakers in my saddle bags (1 in each) facing in, towards the rear tire. It sounds great!!!! BUT once the bike is running and I'm riding down the road I can't hear the music. is there anything I can do to fix this problem?

what type and power of the amp? If it's not a clean 75+ watts the sound will get lost in the wind. I'm running an Alpine PDX150.4

I agree about components and power...but, coming from searching for the perfect SQ car audio set-up I can tell you imaging is everything.

Another reason companies out there sell tweeter pods. Throw a couple more tweeters in your face and your system sounds twice as loud. Quality sound...nah. Does it matter...nah. You cant hear the lower end of a system at speed anyway.

Without knowing what equipment you are running, how you have it set-up, is it set-up properly, etc...we cant help you.

With speakers facing the rear tire you are not going to hear them riding down the road unless you have some real power driving them and that is something a small amp cannot deliver. If you think about it it would be like trying to hear a car stereo from a car driving behind you. First of all, the speakers are lower than your leg, then they are facing in to the tire and road, then you add road and wind noise and it is going to be real hard to hear. They are great for an additional sound when sitting still or low speed but not for while riding down the road. Just my opinion

Not unless he gets an amp that can drive those speakers.

Probly gunna have to stick a larger amp in one of the bags.

Your problem is just a bad setup. Speakers work off of Moving air and that sets up a Vibration that we hear. If you have them Firing into the Rear wheel ( if I read this correct) the turbulence from the Spinning wheel will overwhelm the speakers ability to work at all.
Think about it you Amp is Pushing your Speakers ( Think like a piston going in and out) , The pressure of Air your Wheel generates is Pushing against that same speaker negating anything the Amp can Push .

So how to fix Enclose the Speaker except for the very Top , sorta port it so Wheel wind can't effect it at all. This can be done will just a Solid Cover with the Top and Bottom Open to allow water to flow .
