If you want to race you bought the wrong bike. If you want to get out with the wind in your face and have a great time on a really quick bike you bought the right bike.
did you ride your ultra or a wing before you bought it? How many miles do you have on your ultra? Whatkind of riding do you do? Bottom line is if you don't like the ultra' you aren't going to ride it no matter what you do to it. If you want it to have the power of a goldwing don't waist your money cause it's not going to happen and be reliable for a touring bike. They are two different bikes. I own both and depending on the ride for that day or how the wife feels (if she goes) is what I ride. For all around riding I prefer the Ultra because it handles intown and highway very well. The wing doesn't like intown or commuting as well as the ultra but erases the miles(hence touring bike). Don't hold yourself to either honda or harley there are many manufacturers out there and a different one might just have what you want and whatever you do don't let all the gw and hd bs ers or posers sway yor decision with the boatload of crap that they preach, just find something you like and ride. goodluck
I have a Goldwing and a StreetGlide. I like them both for differant reasons.
The StreetGlide looks great, sounds great, and holds its value.
BUT
The Goldwing:
Has a lot more powerful, smooth acceleration, comes standard with cruise, alarm, and reverse, comes with a 3 year unlimited mile warranty, you can buy 4 more years of warranty for $400 (7yrs), will run for 100-200,000 miles with just oil changes, plug, and timing chain adjustments
I have ridden the GW from Delaware to Florida, only stopping for gas, straight through with no issues or major fatique. I have done it a few times. Guys can bad mouth the GW all they want but it is a awsome bike. I will always have a Harley and a Goldwing.
