Exhaust changes?
So I want to put those cool looking fishtail end caps on my 09 Road King - but from what I can see, my stock muffler won't accept end caps, so I have to change out the muffler to do so.
H-D has a Screamin' Eagle touring muffler that comes with the end cap I like my question is two-fold:
Would changing out just the muffler require a whole domino effect on performance upgrades? I asked the buy at my dealership, and of course he said that a new muffler might work better with a upgraded air intake, and then I'd need to go on the dyno & recalibrate my fuel injection, etc. and that doubles my cost. If I just go with the slip-on screamin' eagle touring muffer and end caps, will all that be necessary?
Also, does anyone know how much louder that screamin' eagle muffler would be? I'm not eager to make the bike louder obviously if I go with a performance muffler that increases HP, I should expect some increase in noise, but at the end of the day all I really want is the look of the fishtail end caps
