Yes and even then there is a difference between right and left and the template puts it to close to the contour for the speaker housing. Check and recheck or do measurments and don't use the templates. If i had it to do over again, i wouldnt use the template.

I erad that if you move each mirror OUT 1/4", you will improve rear vision.

I just put the fairing mirrors on my 2010 Ultra today. The template is reversible. The back side of the template is for the left mirror, the front side for the right side. I punched the template holes out with a pick. Then, with a silver sharpie, I made the origional marks. Then I moved the marks up and out 1/4" and covered the old marks with a black sharpie so I wouldn't drill the wrong holes.
Repeated on the other side, and drilled. Results........ I see half of my knuckles on the lower inside of the mirrors, but no arms or shoulders. With my friends Ultra, you can see all of your arms and some of your shoulders. (He used the original template holes). It's hard to believe that 1/4" made that much difference.

ive got the silver sharpie... marked the template, but only the 'pin' hole. thinking bout using this for the bolt, which would move it out bout 1/4 " . tring to figure out how to make new marks up 1/4" now...kinda hard with all the contours. what did you guys use to make measurements with? eye guesstimation?

they're on! i used the lock pin hole for the stud, which moves them out about 1/2 " and went up 1/4 "...

i can see the tour pak hinges and latches which is close to the same as the stockers but now i can see and hear the zombies!
