I just saw an Ultra in the Merlot and Cherry Red colors. I have to say that , to me, this is the best color combo I've ever seen on a Harley. It was in direct sunlight in the dealership and it was truly stunning.
Looks pretty ho-hum in indoor lighting, but in the sun it kicks *** bigtime! Plus, it had the exact options package that I would want - which is none at all - and the sales guy offered me an MSRP + TAX OTD deal.
I'm pretty sure that my just innocently dropping into that dealership may well prove to be a very expensive mistake.
........ i saw a Merlot/Cherry LTD & Pikes Peak Harley this afternoon.
..... apparently this color combo has a painted badge on the tank, where the blue/black model had a sorta non-descript chrome badge/strip.
....I think the painted one looks a lot better
just do it, you can't take it with you. To date that is the only color that might make me rethink black, but then I wouldn't have the fastest bike anymore. LOL.
Took delivery of mine on Dec. 23 and I love it. Get lots of comments on how pretty the paint is. I rode about 100 miles today and everywhere I stopped people were commenting on it. It was a little cool, 26F when I left home and I think the high was 38F. When I saw it at the dealership, I had to have it.
saying that here is like walking into a bar and asking if you should have one more drink before you go. oh no just have one more drink, everyone's doing it.
Closing the deal on Monday. Was going to on Saturday, but got stuck at work.
I've been waffling over getting an Ultra for nearly three years and I'm glad that I held out till the 2010's came out, but I agree, ya can't take it with you, so why fight it? These '10's may well be among the best bikes that the MOCO has ever built. At least that's how it looks to me.
I can just barely manage to pay cash for it too and it'll be far and away the biggest check I've ever written. Probably the biggest I'll EVER write, too, since I'm 60!
Screw it, I'm goin' for it!
