I have been self employed since the end of the Vietnam war. I have spent my life trying to save the world from (fill in blank). My greatest accomplishment is........damn, but I have done most of that on two lanes or on wilderness trips. I am a father, but please don't contact me, I'm not your father....I don't think so anyway.
My friends cannot tell the difference between my work and my play. Most of the time neither can I.
I would walk away from all of this now for................well, I'll know it when it gets here.

Last time I posted in this thread was about a year and a half ago. Things have changed a bit.
I was a mechanic part time spinning wrenches as an industrial maintenance mechanic and foreman of the maintenance shop. Almost a year ago now I was promoted Maintenance and Fleet Shop Manager. I inherited our fleet of OTR trucks as well. I guess having maintenance background and being familiar with heavy truck work paid off after all.
