The caliper mount is a 10 mm 12 point, the Pad pin is 1/4" 12 point. Found the 1/4" 12 point in 1/4" drive at sears. I just replaced my front pads last Saturday. Use brake clean liberally before you push the pistons in to get all the brake dust off of them. You definately want the pistons to move freely and not bind or you'll end up with dragging, noisy, overheated brakes. Before you push the pistons in, make sure you have room for the fluid in the caliper in the master cyl. resevoir, it's pretty tiny. Pretty easy job.

The pad pins are actually a spline drive. You can use a 1/4" 12 point but eventually the will start to slip over the bolt head. The spline drive socket grabs the bolt head better and doesnt strip. Snap-On has them as Iam sure so do several other tool mfg's.

Now there's a man who knows his tools. Thanks for the information; spline drive is something I didn't know about.
