I walked in the dealer at lunch today and the final offer he made was 20,891 OTD on a 06 vivid black Ultra. Is this a good offer? I wanna wait till 07 but this is my first new HD purchase and really just wanna enjoy the bike. (Proven motor/tranny package also with the 25 injector upgrade) Please repond suppose to call back before Friday 7:00pm.
OTD would include sales tax, thats a lot of dough in certain areas, 1231.00 in my part of georgia, the 07 msrp w/ sales tax & shipping and just the security system, which 99% come with in black is 2246.17, so you could be saving close to 2 grand going with a 06. more if it has the wire wheel option, (450.00) also some dealers have their on fee's for set up, sometimes 300.00 on the large touring bikes. Best way to tell, have the dealer give you the OTD price on a same equiped 07.
OTD = price of bike, taxes, registration, title transfer, dealer prep. Since the new ones have been announced, you should make him wiggle a little more. Personally I think the 07 with the 96 inch motor and 6 speed is better. The 07 motor has more torq and you won't be searching for the next gear at 70 mph.
I think it's pretty good if that's what you want. I've got an '05 Ultra and I love it. I'm not all that excited about an '07 upgrade, as I think the technology remains untested, and the EPA/H-D limits inherent with the new model year have yet to be fleshed out.
I'd say it's a pretty good price if you take it home stock at that cost.
that price is nothing to write home about but reasonably fair. i could get an 07 for about the same. with the larger enging it would be better to go 07.
For the money you would be better off with the 2007.
msrp for 2007 is 18095.00
msrp for 2006 is 17795.00
They are not giving you such a good deal..
I would tell them come down another 2000.00 then it would be a Fair deal.
20891.00 is a bit much for 2006.
You do the math.....
