That's the scary part. I'm an IT guy and I've always been told that unless there is a problem that you have that it supposed to be fixed in the new firmware release just stay where you are.
Like my Blu Ray player, updates not necessary unless absolutely necessary.
Just wondering...I ride in cold weather and have skipping problems with the CD player in cold, like 20>30 weather. Does any of you have this problem and I wonder if the update fixes the skipping issue.
I was digging around on HD website and saw that the newest software available for the HK stereo is v8.22.0. After checking my version I have v8.9.0 and was wondering if anybody had/has any issues with the latest update? I don't have any issues with my current version that I know of.
Anybody have v.8.22.0 and have issues or suggest we older version users stick with our current version?
If you would upgrade you could probably take that red thing out from under yer bike....
Well I gotta say that,as of late,my radio has been acting strange. When I turn off myy bike it forgets if it was on FM,AUX,or even AM. I never know what function it is going to be on when I turn the bike back on. I tried the update but for some reason I could not get it to take the update this time.Has anyone had this problem yet?

If the disc you are installing in the radio is warmer than the radios interior temp, it will condensate the disc and possibly the lens.
If the bike is in a garage that is warmer than the outside temp, you may conensate the lens on the laser when the cold air hits it.
Condensation on the disc or lens will cause skipping, not much you can do about that.
No HK upgrade will address a skipping issue. Skipping is a mechanical issue.
I also did the update. I did it cause I had a problem with the radio coming on when I go to start the bike, even though I know I turned it off before I shut the bike down. It has eliminated that problem. But, now if I have it on aux., then shut the bike down, when I start up again, it come's on, but goes to fm.
