I'm sure that stuff works great in warmer temps but how well does it work when it's 40 degrees outside?
Woks great in cold weather. Here in Montana I have ridden in 20 degree temps and the tranny is quiet and shifts smooth. Also had trouble finding neutral till I started using Red Line. Not a problem anymore.

I've been using the REDLIne for years now in my BD. It makes the tranny shift so much smoother. It's also recommended fluid by Baker Trans. You can get it online in a lot of places. Some local shops started to carry it also.
I got it at Murrys speed shop locally in South Florida. Most speed shops carry it and it's the same product as the Vtwin shockproof just a different label according to the folks at redline.
Same thing for Redline MTL! They put a different label on it for v twin primary applications. This information came from the folks at Redline.
I've used Red Line products for years in cars, motorcycles, jet ski's, and our shifter karts . I feel the shock proof gear oil extended the life of the trans gears in our Honda(can I say that here)motors that we used on the shifter kart .We spin these motors at about 13,500 rpm's and don't use the clutch to shift . So, I thought what the heck and I used it in my 04 Sportster primary/gearbox and yes it shifted considerably better than the HD oil . I ran it for about a year and the odd thing that after winter was over I figured it was time for a ride ,went to the garage and fired up the bike ,backed it out of the garage ,grabbed the clutch lever and I have about an 1" of free play . Grabbed a couple of wrenches and adjusted the cable and everything is back to normal . This year I drained the Shock proof and switched to Red Line MTL ,bike shifted even better ,went for a ride and now the clutch lever has no free play . Over the course of a week I adjusted the free play 3 times . The shockproof oil had shrunk the fiber plates and the MTL allowed the plates to swell to normal . I know the trans and clutch/primary are seperate on the big bikes and Shockproof may be great for the trans but if you have other riding toys at home like my Sporty it may not be the best lubricant . And yes I have shockproof in the Road King .
