I installed mine in about 10 minutes, no no need to remove the fairing. When installing the new bezel, you may need to adjust the headlights, due to the fact the the new bezel snugs up against the headlight assembly and it may be adjusted out to prevent snapping the bezel in.

I take mine out from the front. I pop the two top tabs first using a very thin micro-tool flathead screw driver. You have to insert the screw driver, press down and in, then pull out. It's a Pain... took me several tries.

Got the lens off. But now can't get the bezel to snap in. Grrrr

I think I know how to fix it.
The same thing happened to me, I had to adjust the headlight aiming screws until the bazel would snap in. If you're happy with the aim of you're headlights, you'll have to adjust all three screws evenly, moving the headlight assembly in until it allows the bezel to snap in.

Just line the tabs up with the holes and give it a good smack with the meaty part of your fist, it will pop in.

Changed mine at the end of the last summer... Much better look than the bubble!
