Default detachable tour pack

I am new to Harleys/Ultras but my question is is there a kit that is sold to make your tour pack detachable.I think Ultras are the best but daily the tour may make it top heavy.

Yes, but only made by H-D. Check their website or the big catalog.

Yes, you need to buy 2 parts from you local HD dealer............and they are about $210.

After that you need to figure out what you are going to do with all the wires going to the tourpak. You have a CB antenna, a AM/FM antenna, a lights wire, the intercom wire, and speaker wires for each side. The lights and speakers have plugs in them for quick disconnect, but the antennas and intercom are both solid wires that you will have to cut or make a quick-disconnect kit for.

I don't use my CB so I got rid of that wire, and I bought a in-fairing AM/FM antenna so that got rid of that wire, and I don't use the intercom so I got rid of that wire also. That left the 3 wires with plugs, so that made it easier.

But I will say, after a week of not having my TourPak on..................I put it back to a permanent mount.

Also if your is an 06 or newer everytime you remove or add the rear speakers youll have to take it to the dealer so they can reflash the radio.
