My problem is opposite of the 06 problem. I can not get my fork lock to stay locked. I lock the ignition, turn the bars to the left all the way, and when I turn them to the right, I feel them catch but they end up releasing. Any thoughts? I have taken it to the dealer and they say they there is nothing wrong, and of course they can get it to stay locked.
Did you have the recall work perfromed? This may solve all of your problems. If you have an 06 Touring you should have gotten a recall letter form the MoCo.
My forks wouldn't unlock for me. 06 SG. Of course I was away from home on a Sunday, but HOG towing eventually helped me. ( Another story altogether) . After 2 months they still hadn't received the part to fix it with, they eventually stole one off another bike in stock. Got home, tried the fork lock, and it doesn't lock. Another trip to the dealer !!!

My bike is an 05, however I have to check when it was made, the recall is for bikes made from June 05 I think, I didnât get my bike until July. Either way I never received the letter so the dealer said they couldnât help. I told them a letter or not, it should be a warranty issue if it doesnât work, they agreed.
