Congrats! My Pops retired at 61 in '05 from the L.A. County Sheriff's Department as a Commander. He did 36 years.

Big props to the LEO's! Your job is anything but easy, and you don't get paid enough....especially in this day in age.

Congrats. We are 20 and out and I am at 8 but it can not get here fast enough. My partner is 70 and still chugging along because he just figures he will waste away retired.

Congrats! I'm not LEO, but I have a similar retirement plan. It's nice knowing you're vested and have that option. I've been working for half pay for over 4 years now.

Good to hear. I got 26.5 years in. Out look is different when you can go anytime you want. I entered into Ohio Police and Fire's DROP program last year and am making an obscene amount of money. THAT helps the out look too.
