Default Hog Tune Amplifier moving?

Ok, have you ever had one of those nagging questions you just couldn't get out of your head? I installed the Hog Tune Amplifier about 2 months ago along with speakers. Needles to say living in Rhode Island during the winter there isn't allot of riding. I started thinking "Will the Velcro be strong enough to prevent the amplifier from moving or even fall off the radio"? I know, a silly thought but I just can't help to think I should have put a cable (zip) tie around it.

For you guys that have been riding with the amplifier......did you just use the Velcro or did you cable tie it? I don't really want to take the fairing off again, although it's not difficult to do but every time you take it off you run the risk of damaging something.

Thanks.

Im a big fan of strong hot glue. It comes off if needed and holds up to vibrations

Zip tied mine @ install. But have been back in there several times and cut that tie on occation and velcro was holding fine. Just the same, I always re-zip tie before butting up!

Just the velcro for me, holds it fine.

Velcro has worked fine for mine, but I don't see where a zip tie could hurt either. I myself would not take the fairing off just to add zip tie, unless your just bored and looking for something to do.

Thanks.
I velcroed the amp to the top of the HD head unit and have had the fairing off several times over the past couple of years to swap out speakers. The amp hasn't moved a bit in over two years and 25K miles.

How is your amp mounted?

That makes me feel better. I used the Velcro that came with the amp and it is mounted on the radio.

I don't think you're going to have any issues with it mounted like that.

I wouldn't remove the fairing to zip tie it unless you went in there for something else.

Have you tried to move the amp after you used the velcro? I have and it was darn difficult to get it off the radio. So as long as it was pushed onto the velcro properly that amp is not going anywhere!
