Are you sure it's the amp?My HK radio would lose the right channel intermittently, even before I installed the Arc amp.Went with an after market head unit.
On my '08 I had both speakers quit having sound and the Harley Tech said it was my amp. I finally got him to check with some stock speakers hooked up directly (by-passing my amp and speakers) and it was indeed the stock radio.
well i am finished my venting about the arc amp i am not happy w/it or the serviced i recieved. i am mostly interested in what other options are out ther. i had a hogtune , just not enough power. but talk about quality service. pez is second to none, outstanding person , stands behind his product 100 per cent.
The resistor is the fix straight from ARC audio. Your last statement to me over the phone was never mind I will throw it in the trash and call Hog Tunes. PM me your address and I will send you the high level input.
The HK unit has a protection circuit that will sometimes on some bikes kick in when the 2ohm speakers are taken out of the loop.

This is the exact reason why I am going to be dealing with Wayne in the near future
The new amp kit from J&M, which uses a very similar amplifier to the Arc Audio mini ,,, has taken into account the resistive load sometimes required by the HK radio system,, into the design of our plug-n-play cables ,, ,,,
I haven't had any problems with my arc amp. My stereo sounds great and now has 15,000 miles on it. If the resistor is the fix for your problem why wouldn't you at least try it? Electronic components are full of resistors. What does it hurt? You can always try the more expensive option but you would rather spend a chunk of cash. I have never heard of Firecap providing poor service. If I try to help you and you tell me screw it that you don't want to try the solution then you're on your own. This seems kind of stupid to me.
I am running the resistors Wayne gave me with no problems. Now everything makes sense after hearing Wayne's side of the story. His service is impeccable.
