I dont think the resistors are a cheap fix, just a way to help the stock deck run aftermarket speakers. Run a aftermarket deck if you want the best. I had several dealing with Wayne and he has always treated me good. Replaced blown speakers for me no questions asked. Hell even gave me some 6x9" for my bags that he wasnt using and helped me over the phone with my install. Do you still have the amp, if so just sell it and be done with it.
