Poor running
Finally looked @ my Ultra tonight. It started running poor & then 1 cyl went dead. Thought maybe my adjustable push rods came loose or a coil went out but ended up being an injector. So any updates for the M&M FI? It's a 1999 w/95 Cu In upgrade. TIA

The dealer has them for 80.00 a piece compared to J&P & Dennis Kirk being over 200.00 a piece. Anyone know why the price difference? Thundermax has an upgrade but I can not afford 2000.00 to do it although it sounds like it would be a good thing to do.

If possible what test isolated the injector as the issue?
When one cylinder has been found dead.
I have read of wire issues to one injector.
I have read of corrosion at the ECM wire plug. (just requires cleaning of contacts)
I have read of power commander issues that once PC was removed all was well..
But have not read of injector failing?

I readusted the pushrods, Swapped plugs, checked compression and all checked out fine. I then sprayed brake clean into the throttle body, on one side it made no difference, on the other side it would cause the engine to die with just a short burst. I then pulled the connector off of the injector on the rear cyl. & restarted the engine. When I resprayed into the rear portion of the throttle body, the engine smoothed out. I put a noid light on the connector & it was working fine. In conclusion, the rear cyl injector is dumping to much fuel fowling out the cyl & when it was unplugged & I added a fuel it smoothed out. Now I did have an odd thing happen to it. I was driving it down the road when the radio & just the speedo light went out & a short time after that the engine died (aprox. 2-5 min). Pulled off to the side of the road & pulled the seat off, It was dark out so I just felt for some loose wires under the seat & as the wires go into the fairing. Found nothing loose, turned the key on and all was ok, the bike started & has ran since, then the injector acted up. Thanks for the help & replies.

Any chance that you have a short circuit issue also: I do not remember the year but at one point the wires to fuel injector were known to have an issue because they were too short..could the injector wire for rear jug have gotten frayed? that area is really tight for space and if tank has been removed for service it would be rather easy to bind.

It's a 1999. I don't think it is the wires to the injector, but when I pull the tank when I get the injectors I will look closer. It reachs to the side of the tank & it has been probably 25000 miles on it since the tank has been off. The noid light flashed when I had it hooked up, but since the connector is pulled to the side of the tank, there is always a possibility that if there is a problem with the wiring, it may not have shown up. As far as a short circuit, probably but have not found it. Maybe something will show when I get the tank off as well. The thing that bothers me is that all the lights in the gauges are on the same wire, so why just one of the gauges did the light go out. The radio I have had problems before & it was the ground for it, but I checked the grounds & all are clean, tight & attached. Thanks for the help.

I will not use bike bandit unless there is no other option. I log in & check my order & it says "in progress". They don't have a phone # listed on there site that I could find but they have a live chat. Asked what was up, out of stock (don't think they stock anything) or what. The gal (if it was a girl, girls name) tells me that when the injectors come in they will ship them. I am like, you can't have them drop shipped? No. If I would have known this I would have gotten them from the dealer, it may have cost me maybe 12.00 more, but I thought, hey they can ship them to me & probably take as long. Pisses me off (just mad at myself more than anything). I could have had the Harley running & not miss this great weather we are having.
