It looks better then a hole in the fairing.

you can undo it where it is attached to the fairling bracket and move it so that it is just below the fairing. helped some, but the temp reading is usually still wrong.

I just replaced mine with the oil temp gauge and glad I did but I had actually kind of got use to the air temp gauge. I had gotten to where I could sort of gage how hot/cool the bike would run depending on what temp the air gauge was reading. But again, heck of a lot more important to know your oil temp.

I replaced my Air with an oil Temp. well worth it. the Air was always off about ten to twenty degrees. took an after noon of work to install it, but i work slow and take my time working on my bike, a way to relax and enjoy myself. im sure a good harley tech can have it changed in a half hour.

I did the same thing. I'm not a Harley Tech so it took me about 2 hours but by doing it myself I know it's right. Nice upgrade and use of the "Air" hole.

well why wouldn't harley just put an oil temp guage instead, so we all hav tospend extra money and buy one ourselves. c'mon now dumb. anyway thanks guys im going to look into this my self and do the same thing. i always thought it was the engine temp, go figure.
