i had an ecm failure on my 08 sg had powercommander removed per dealer advice put in stage 1 download really can't tell the difference. I personally didn't like the way the rev-extend feature would shut the tach down at 5120 wish i would have known that before would not have bought pc at all.

I liked the way my 09 UC ran with the 103DL that I cancelled the Protuner I had on order. Bike runs strong but still gets great gas mileage. Not the case when I had the PCIII on my 06 UC. Mileage sucked on the 06.
I will stay with the download until I do other mods in the future. I am running Rush slipons and SE AC.

[quote=iclick;6305456]You're the first person I've seen to report better mileage when using XIED's.

What I was saying was that the mileage was better than PCIII with same A/C, Jacpot setup with no noticeable powerloss. Yes I did get replacement PCIII from Fuel Moto. Yes I'm saying that the open loop AFR is somewhere around 13.5:1 and below. and Like the other post, I did see negative values in the cells of the upper rpm ranges of the PCIII Map I received from fuel Moto when I had it insatlled. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Fuel Moto, My point is I can't see spending $600-700 to gain, if properly tuned, maybe 5hp over the xied setup. We all probably spend most of our time riding in closed loop anyway. Your not going to get a major power gain with just A/C, Exhaust upgrade, Is it worth the extra cash for a tuner? The website is TUNEYOURHARLEY.COM. Sorry for summiting the wrong site earlier.

The HD DL would retard timing I would think. Advancing spark would make it run leaner if memory serves.

well retard or advance but not adding more fuel. My dealer said he'd do one if I really wanted but couldn' recommend it but for a little more do a tune. Dealer said by a TTS and not SEST so I picked up a TTS on sale about 370 online and dealer loaded a canned map for the stage 1 for 50 so I'm in for 400 but set up for mod's later

Long story short, I THINK he's partialy correct, it depends on the type of exhaust you go with. the milder the exhuast the less chance if requiring a fule mgt sys. So the DL is good for AF and exhaust change if you dont go ***** out. if you go ***** out on your new exhaust, youll more than likely require a fule mgt sys.

the ECM will adjsust in range, up to a point.

None of my PCIII or PCV maps ('07 FLHX) have ever shown any negatives in this range (except one -1 in my current map), mostly single- and double-digit positives up to 16% above 60% TP.

You can enter AFR values in the closed-loop area, up to about 60% TP, and only down to about 14.2:1. You can't go lower because of the inherent limitations of these narrow-band sensors. The PCV with Auto-Tune, however, uses wide-band sensors and works in closed-loop throughout the RPM/TP range. It's able to tune between about 11:1 and 16:0, far outside the usable AFR range of most (all?) street vehicles. It costs $600 (PCV and AT together) and doesn't require a dyno-tune since AFR's are tuned on the fly to your specs.
1.) The PCV dumps fuel unless you change up the map to make it leaner i had one. That is why i went from 48mpg to 39mpg.

2.) Dont know where you got your maps but all of mine had neg values in these areas.

3). False all the O2 sensor does is switch back and forth from rich to lean if you go too high on the AFR it will send a lean condition if you go to low with the AFR it will consistently give the signal as a rich condition and it is up to the reprogrammed ecu to determine what to do with this info if the AFR is suppose to be rich i.e. what u programmed it at it will not attempt to adjust. And the style wide band sensors that are used for the autotuner are not designed to be placed that close to the cylinder they will eventually overheat and malfunction.

I have an 09 Ultra with HD stage 1 A/C and RUSH slipons w/2 inch baffles. Dealer said that the HD stage 1 download would be my next step and would see a noticable difference in performance...... well I had the download installed and cant say that I can tell any difference in performance. What I did notice is that it occasionally backfires when letting off the throttle. I havent road it enough to check the fuel mileage. The backfiring occured in low temperature days.... less than 50 degrees. I am concerned that this will get worse in the heat of the summer. I was also considering a power commander but am hesitant after reading these threads. Any suggestions?
