Thanks for the post Badfinger. I was looking for ways to increase visibility up front as my Trucklight led headlight is very dark from any angle but straight on, and came across your thread.

As you noted the 55w's are still 16 from Amazon so based on your experience I bought a set.

Only thing I worry about is melting the reflector...the bulbs in my bike run really hot...not sure if they are OE but based on the super white color I suspect not. My reflectors are slightly melted.

Have you had any trouble with melting the reflector or any other problems in all this time?

Many years ago I remember reading an article about a police dept. who researched the most visible color light to oncoming traffic and to make a long story short, most people recognized and reacted to a white light before any other color.
