Some people get great pleasure from polishing their bikes, I'm not one of them but to each his own.

I knew a guy back home who detailed bikes. He would mix Joy dishwashing liquid with water about 50 50 . He would spray the engine good with it and let it sit while he washed the rest of the bike. He would rinse and they would look like UltraKla$$ic's. Don't have to buy the expensive stuff..

What he's not telling you is that he ran down to the dealer and took that pic today. Not really his bike.... J/k. UK's garage is where it's at when it comes to detailing a scooter.

Like others have said I hear pig spit is real good. Me personally, I bought the bike new and I wash it whenever it gets dirty. If I get stuck in the rain I wash it the next day when its nice out but I can go 2 weeks in between washes and she still cleans up nice. Basically what I'm saying is go over the thing real good (spend 5 hours if thats what it takes) and then just keep up with it. Once the sludge builds up its tough to get off. The only dirty part on my bike is under the oil filter cause I always spill doing filter changes. After a week of riding the dust soaks up most of the oil and then I hit it with goo gone, let it sit for a few minutes and then hose it off. Good luck.
