Installed Clearview Road Glide windshield today.
Thought i'd just put this up for reference, might help someone if they do a search in the future. I have 07 RG and i'm 6' 1" tall. Bike has fairing lowers. I had been running the stock shield but the helmet buffeting got so bad i thought my flywheels had shifted when i ran 80 MPH on the interstate.
I did as much research as i could on the internet and ordered the 1 1/2" vertically higher than stock(medium) shield. It's perfect. I can still look over it just fine and the little flip at the top throws the airstream completely over my head, just hitting the top of my helmet. I ran it up to 95 MPH and no wind noise or buffeting at all. It was really incredible after riding with the stock shield for 2 years. Should have done this when i first got the bike. RH mirror stem touches the windshield lightly on full handlebar turn but i haven't tried to re-adjust anything yet. The clearview is about the only one of the aerodynamic shields that will fit with the HD radar detector. That's a good thing to know.It has only about 1/4" clearance due to the increased rake of the shield over the stocker, but it will fit.
It looks like a quality part as far as the windshield is concerned although the fit could have been a bit better. I got a blemish light gray tinted shield for a discount although i couldn't see anything wrong with it. It was supposed to have some light scratches. I really don't think you could improve on this shield.
I have a +1 clearview on my Road Glide and I keep going back to it. Does not look nearly as good as the Klock or some others but it is the best by far for wind protection and buffeting. I bought mine used from a member who went with a +2
Keep in mind the 2010 fairing is mounted 1" higher than previous years. I'm 6' and bought a Clearview Medium and was looking through the windshield on my 2010. So if you have a 2010 you need to add 1" on to the Clearview measurements. If you have a lowered seat you have to add that on as well.
