I purchased a new wind splitter windshield from harley davidson today 6/7/14.
I installed it today, it looked good, It is the 10" version for my 2013 street glide. When I test rode it a real problem showed up. Im 5'8" tall and I am looking right into the bend close to the top. It causes extreme distortion. the lines on the road appear to go in and out like two snakes. When looking at the oncoming traffic to the left it elongates the vehicle as if it were in your lane. Im not a sensitive kind of man but it caused me to get vertigo. Im going to ride it back to the dealer tomorrow and show them and I'm not sure what they intend to do about it. I would not recommend this windshield to any one, there dangerous.

Hey, I have an idea, why don't you two get together and trade shields
I should have demo'd the windshield but I use to have a 06 streetglide with a stock windshield and didn't mind it so I figured a 7" windsplitted could only be better. (Not)
I have the 10" windsplitter on mine. As mentioned, there is a distortion if you try to look through it. All though on the highway I'm looking over it, I found out one night in the rain and on a curvy back road, I couldn't see directly in front of me. On the highway though, I can hear the radio better up to 70mph. I'm 5'10 and should probably have went with a 7". Kutter HD was selling them for around $135..

I too have the 10" windsplitter and Im 5 10. I agree with you, on highway the windshield is awesome but on curvy back roads the distortion sucks. Im looking over it 99% of the times. But on those certain curvy roads due to the design of the windshield its hard to avoid those bends on the side that cause the distortion.
I love this windshield for long highway trips and will not ride without it. But for my normal around town or back road riding I will be using my 7 windshield.

I am wth you on this. I can just see over this fairing, but if I try to look for potholes and bad roads like we are having alot of lately, I look right into the distorted line.
I have a 10" for the winter time on the street glide worked really well for cold weather this past winter. I had been using the stock street glide screen for warm weather, but when I put the sundowner seat on it raised me up enough to put the wind blast line directly on the bridge of my nose. I run a 7" wind splitter now.
Just installed a used 10" HD wind splitter on my glide and wow really dangerous. Felt like i was at the carnival in the tenet with all the wierd mrrors that curve.
