Since it's been really warm out here on the East coast lately, I went back to the stock 4" windshield on my SG. I figured I would get some more cooling flow around me. Man, I was reminded of why I tossed that thing back in February when I picked the bike up! The turbulence around my head at highway speeds is crazy - worse than it was on my Softail with no windshield! I couldn't hear the radio - even with Hogtunes. Man, I went right back to the 9.5" shield. For anyone who has a SG, I can't urge you enough to try a taller shield. The difference is like night and day!

 

I agree 1000%. The first time I got to 60 mph with the 4" my head was vibrating so bad I couldnt see the road!! Scared the crap out of me! I ordered a 9" that day and have been happy ever since! Did an hr. ride yesterday at 70-75 mph and its unreal how much difference there is.
