Default Adjusted Steering Head

I just got done adjusting the steering head and have some info that could save someone some time. The manual didn't make it clear to me that the tightness of the steering head is a combination of the tightness of the adjuster nut and the fork stem nut.

I adjusted the swing with the fork stem nut off and got it just right. Then when I put it all together, I tried it again and the tire came to the center and stopped.

Took it all apart again and through trial and error I discovered the stem nut has a huge influence on the steering head swing test.

Hope I can save someone else from having to take the fairing off and the stereo out more than once to get this done.

Any way, no more clunk when I hit a bump!!!

Great info Dawg. My 10K is right around the corner. RGs are only two swings now according to your file.
