Does the dealer service department use the same Maintenance Schedule that's in our Owners Manual when they service our scoot? If not, where can I find a copy of what they use?
I'm getting ready to have the 5k done on my '09. Just want something for reference.
Most dealers will provide you a list of what they do when they complete the scheduled service. It will list each item that they are supposed to do...notice I said supposed to do.
I think there will be many who chime in saying buy a service manual and do it yourself but to each his own.
I used to let the dealer do mine but with my 09 I am doing my own and enjoying every minute of it and my wife is enjoying the $$$ we are saving. We plan on using those same $$$ to go on more trips.
I let the dealer do my 1k and they did everything on the list in the owners manual. The manager also signed and put dealer number in manual. They also should check any service bulletins if available.
The Service manual has all the mileage and what they do for each service required... I just bought mine for my '10 SG a couple weeks ago. And had Kinko's cut it up and punch holes all over it!
