SILVERSTAR review
I hope you all that are running Silverstars have good luck with them. Everyone that I know of that has used them (in cars) have had them burn out in less than 6 months. And with the fact that there is less use and vibration in a car I would think the life of one in a bike would be even less. If nothing else make sure you keep a spare on you so you don't get stranded at night w/o light.
This car has been rear ending last Aug 22nd, 05 (it was totalled, I had to buy it back and rebuild the rear end, new seat, fuel pump, dash board, and front hood and grill peice then a paint job). Then some guy in a F-350 pulled out of a bar parking lot and ran into my front fender on the 1st of this month and creased that in.
With all that bouncing around in that small car, it amazes me it still runs. And the head lights still work fine.
I'm sure that some get a bad set, but I've never had any problem. If they burnt out tomorrow, I'd not mind, I've gotten more then my money worth out of them by now.
I'm running them on my RK in the passing lamps and they stay on all the time the bike is running.

As a matter of fact, I bought some cheapos on Ebay because they were a little higher on the color spectrum and STILL have them in my 2001 Lincoln LS.

But, SilverStar does not make an 880 bulb! Thats not to say you can't get a Phillips or GE or some other 880 bulb at 55 watts!
If you do not upgrade to the 880 bulb at 55 watts, then your only other choice is to go with the H-D 68208-98A for some $68 or $70 a set. Then you can use the SilverStar H-3 bulbs rated at 55 watts.

Then what is this right off the SYLVANIAwebsite?????
And the 880ST MATCHES the stock lamp draw - 27 watts / 2.1 amps. They match up perfect with the H4ST - same color temp.
