Thanks for all the input! I joined HOG yesterday. I will get one of the plans next week. I have AAA Plus but I have called and asked about MC coverage. The person told me I am good for everything except towing. Thinking maybe to stay with AAA and get the middle plan through HOG. Like the idea of having a number to call when needed. Thanks again for the help...

AAA with RV Plus coverage does handle motorcycle issues. I upgraded simply for that reason. HOG's compared to the AAA is almost worthless.

AAA will not cover motorcycles in Hawaii regardless of what plan you get. I have Good Sam that covers all my vehicles including my bikes based in OR and HI. My plan does not have any towing distance limitations.

Subscribe to AMA with auto renewal and towing is free for your motorcycle and all vehicles in your family.
American Motorcycle Association.

We we used them a number of times for my daughters automobile while she was in college and they was spot-on whether she needed a jump or a tow.
Recently had my Dodge Durango towed to a dealer and they were great as well.
Ironically I haven't needed them for my motorcycle yet, thank God...
Plus plus you get their motorcycle magazine included.

I dropped HOG and joined AMA because of the roadside assistance. Much better deal. Like already pointed out it covers every vehicle (car, truck, trailer, or Motorcycle) and driver in your household for the $49 annual subscription to AMA. Only catch is you have to sign up for auto renewal. But that isn't an issue for me.

By the way this is an 8 year old thread with the last post 3/25/2010 that got revived today.

I've had two tows with AAA. One (in Canada) was 160 miles. The other was in Idaho, 105 miles. Hate to see what that would have cost with AMA.

AMA Coverage Details
Vehicles covered include: Motorcycles, cars, trucks, motorhomes and trailers.

Towing services are covered up to 35 miles to the nearest qualified service facility (or to any other location requested by the member of equal distance at no expense to the member). If over 35 miles, the member is only responsible for the overages incurred after the initial 35 miles.
