The accuracy of those gauges is debatable. I find them almost as useless as the air temp gauge. I understand that there are many that like them but i will stick with the hand held infrared for its accuracy and the ability to measure the temps of every part of the bike in seconds.

How do you do that when your on the road?? I have one of those infered temp finders too, but can only use it while off the bike. Does me no good at 60 mph.
I have one and find it very useful. I recommend the HD brand, it will match perfectly with the gauges that you already have and HD has revised them with the sensor plugging in directly to the oil pan. I find it plenty accurate. Good investment for me.
