Default Stock FLHX muffler help.

I'm new to the form and I hope this is ok to post. I have a 2006 Street Glide with everything stock. I'm laid off right now so money is tight but I'm looking for help and what mufflers I can slip on it with doing a ton of other things.

Can anyone tell me what mufflers I can slip on my bike without doing anything else?

I have Rinehart's and love them, but depending on what you want, sound? Performance? Any slip one would work without doing any other mods

I believe you can slip on any slip ons without doing anything else (aside from removing the stock mufflers).

I wasn't sure if I had to remap it with new mufflers or not. I just can't stand the sound of it right now.

You wont need to remap with just slips ons. If you decide to go with high flow intake, then a remap may be in order

I run these with the V&H true duals instead of the "double back" head pipes. But the sound is exactly the same. They will slip right onto the stock head pipes as well. I was leaning towards another brand until I heard these demo'd at J&P last year. Shop around with "google" and you should find a pair for just under $300

Any slip-ons will work,if you can go ebay shoppin you might find yourself some cheap goodies. I've gotten all my slips from there except for the only pipe I bought new which was a D&D Fat Kat. Never have paid more than 60 bucks or so if your willing to be patient.

Thanks everyone. I been looking at the Rinehart mufflers but they are out of my price range. I didn't wanna spend no more then 350. Does anyone know what size the stock head pipes are so I can make sure I get the right size to match up.

Thanks

Just today i took the screaming eagle slip ons off my 06 Sg to install a rinehart 2 into 1, they look and sound great, let me know if your interested, they will slip right on and i'll give you a great deal. you bike will sound like a harley again, and if your interested i also took off the Se hi flow intake, for an S&S, though if you do both a re map is the way to go.
