I have a 2003 Road King with a Stage 1. I purchased the Hard Krome T-Rex pipes last year. They look and sound great.
My problem: I also purchased the Dynojet Power Commander III and can't find the correct mapping to load for my setup.
Power Commander has not posted a map for those pipes. They told me the closest map would be the one they have available
the Reinhart True Duals. I loaded that configuration and it runs rich - a lot of backfiring. Anyone out there have the HK T-Rex pipes?
Can anyone help out with this problem. I have to leave for Sturgis in a couple days and want the bike to run better. Any advice would
be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, b loesch - MN
I would give you my map, but it would not do you any good. You best bet would be to go to Sturgis, and find a good tuner there to tune your bike. Not sure if he goes that far but see you if can find Doug' Speed Shop, he is out od Daytona Beach FL. They retuned mine in Myrtle Beach SC Bike Week. I can not complain with good power 26% gain, and I average 41 to 46 mpg.
Agree with lscb01------get it dyno tuned. I think quite a few on this forum run trex--try bountyhunter I think--Ive seen his bike pics alot on hear?!
GOODLUCK
I'm pretty sure Dynojet has a map for the T Rex as Vegas HD had his bike tuned by Dynojet and posted the map on their site. I also think it is an "advanced" map. His bike was an 06 so not sure if that matters pertaining to yours.
