'06 service manual #99483-06 and Touring Models parts catalog #99456-06 are must haves. I have an '06 EGC and it is difficult to roll as you describe when the motor is not running. When running there is no problem maneuvering. Might just need a little tweaking.

Does the bike push forward when running in gear if so the the cluch needs to be adjusted . When my bikes are cold and in gear with the clutch pulled in are hard to push also but that is normal. After the bikes is are warmed up they can be moved easy.
My bike is the same. I kind of like it that when its cold and in 1st gear that it will not roll. makes me less nervous about someone messing with the bike and dropping it. You should be able to quickly shift into neutral without starting the bike and it will be easy to move.
Mine does this also, but not so much when the oil is hot. from reading, as long as it doesn't pull you forward with the clutch in you should be alright.
