Unhappy loose frame bolts on my new bike!

I found all 3 of the rear subassembly bolts on the left side were loose today. They were probably never tightened at the factory. kinda scary, but not sure what could happen. The other side was fine.

So now I'm checking all critical hardware.

The dealer should have caught it when they uncrated it, that what they're supposed to do to justify the set-up charge. I suppose that some are just skipping it if they have to sell at MSRP with no shipping & set-up, not cool, I'd bitch to the dealer who sold it to you.

You'd think in our litigous society the MoCo would pour over everything before it goes out the door.

Suppose the bike came apart while I was riding. Who's fault would that be?

I wasn't looking for loose bolts just took the side covers and seat off to clean the insides a bit.

Same thing happened to me. I popped the cover and thought to myself....did I loosen that before or something? I was totally taken aback seeing it.

This makes me think back to a post of a guy whose frame cracked under warranty and HD wouldn't give him a new bike, only change the frame. the OP was concerned a rebuild wouldn't be as good as a factory build.
