Broken Adapter Ring.
I removed my fairing today to stick my new gauges in, and one of my front speakers was flapping in the wind.
Where one of the screws holds the 6 1/2" speaker adapter ring to the fairing, a small piece that surrounded the screw , broke off.
On the other side , ( on the top), the screw pulled through the ring.
What is the best " plastic cement " to use to repair this ??? I bought some Gorrilla Glue, but the package says not to use it on plastic.
Any suggestions ????

I don't think that JB Weld is compatible with plastic. My brother -in-law works at the plant that manufactures it, so I called him to get some. He said it reacts with, and ruins the plastic. Who'da thunk it ???
I don't know if maybe super glue or acrylic nail glue would be my best bet.

Lowes sells a 2-part epoxy, looks like two syringes together that mixes as you push the plunger, it will hold anything, sets up in a couple of hours, will "thread" and hold a screw great. Don't remember the name, but will be easy to find.

Go to E-Bay and buy another adapter ring. You can pick up a set for roughly $43.00. I would worry when the weld or repair is going to break again.
